Why InterContinental Osaka Is The Most Epic Urban Getaway

When in Osaka, aka Japan’s most famous second city which everyone loves for eating, drinking and going out, there’s really no better hotel in the entire city for an epic urban getaway than InterContinental Osaka.

THE ROOMS

InterContinental Osaka consists of over 200 hotel rooms and 57 residences that are decked out in sleek contemporary furnishings and all the modern conveniences and delights you could ever wish for. The most appealing feature of the rooms at InterContinental Osaka are the sweeping city views visible from floor-to-ceiling windows. Depending on how high you go, you can get panoramic views of Osaka’s sparkling cityscape and skyscrapers stretching from north to west along the curving Yodo River. The rooms come with high-tech walk-in wardrobes, Nespresso coffee machines, ergonomic work desks and a Japanese artisanal tea set for that unique sense-of-place.

THE SPA

As expected from the InterContinental brand, InterContinental Osaka offers high-end modern facilities which make it difficult to leave the hotel. The top feature which every guest absolutely must experience on property is the Japanese Bathhouse inside Meguri Spa.

The Japanese bathhouses are separated by gender and include beautifully designed tranquil hot baths for soaking. The baths are modern while still invoking a traditional Japanese hot spring. The sauna and steam room can be found inside the bathhouse as well. Outside the spa, guests can enjoy the stunning 20-meter indoor lap pool which is accompanied by a spacious jet jacuzzi.
