Feeling the Monday blues?

If you’re in New York City on a Monday, then you have no excuse! Le Cirque, one of my personal favorites  in Midtown (okay, that’s because I love bartender Billy who let’s me speak French), has been jazzing up Monday nights with amazing live performances.

This month, the lineup is getting even more musical with major talents you just can’t miss out! Besides grabbing a few friends and drinks, here are 5 artists to release some of that afterwork steam with:

1. Can we say dreamboat?

Back by popular demand, crooner Chris Norton is heating up the stage again this month (January 6th) by putting his lips to the horn or stepping up to the microphone to sing. The gorgeous jazz trumpeter and singer will give jazz fans a real treat with a wide range of influences from Nat King Cole, Otis Redding all the way to Stevie Wonder. Can we say…wow!

2. The Wall Street Journal’s Will Friedwald calls her voice.

“Elegant vocal style evoke the big band singers of the 1930s and breathe new life into familiar old standards”. Molly Ryan is a beautiful singer and has performed next to some of the biggest names in jazz: Randy Reinhart, Bria Skonberg, Dan Barrett…and more! Molly’s gracing the stage at Le Cirque on January 13th, perfect for music lovers who love to turn back time to 1920s Gatsby era!

3. Australian + Pianist + jazz = the irresistible Matt Baker!

Taking Underground New York jazz by storm, Matt Baker Trio will be jamming it up, turning Le Cirque (January 20th) into a musical circus in a fabulous way! Here’s a promise: your hands will be so busy from holding delish drinks and clapping along to the beat!

4. One of the biggest up-and-coming names in New York jazz, Cole Rumbough.

Rumbough is doing what he does best at Le Cirque…singing his heart out! His influences come from Ella Fitzgerald, Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra. He’s been performing in some of the biggest events in NYC, making his round! Don’t miss his gorgeous voice on January 22nd.

5. The champagne you order from Billy will taste even bubblier with Joe Alterman’s “wunderkind” piano skills.

Alterman’s style is a wild combo of vintage and new, jazz and swing. You’ll find his music (on January 27th) completely intoxicating and hard to not get up and dance along with.
