Get ready to discover the magic behind literally all of your favorite movies and TV shows on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour! Though it is sounds like a super touristy thing to do (because it totally is), WB Studio Tour is an experience that mustn’t be missed by locals nor travelers.
WB Studios, located right next to Universal Studios in Burbank, is home to countless film sets, movie memorabilia and famous stars. Once you walk onto the studio and start looking around, you realize that Warner Brothers has created the most beloved films and shows from the last century. WB franchises include: Harry Potter, Batman, The Matrix. Andindependent films such as: Inception, Ocean’s Eleven, Casablanca. And TV shows like Friends and The Big Bang Theory. The studio tour takes you behind the scenes and shows you how everything is created.
The tour starts with a drive down Hennesy Street. The street is a block of fake facades that’ve been redesigned hundreds of times to create urban scenery for everything from Friends to Spiderman to A.I. It makes you realize and appreciate the artistry, creativity and ingenuity that goes into movie-making. The sheer imagination it takes to bring entire worlds to life from a block of papier-mâché buildings truly feels magical. Afterwards the tour continues on to Every Town America, Main Street and fake Chicago, which serve has the sets for Gilmore Girls, Fuller House, Shameless and more.
The most exciting parts include the Batcave which is a museum of every Batmobile used in every Batman movie to date. The DC Universe and the Harry Potter exhibitions always have major fanboys and fangirls geeking out over the real props and costumes that were utilized in films. Central Perk Café and the set of Friends at the end of the tour is always a crowd pleaser and major selfie destination. You’ll also get to enter the sets and sound stages of current shows like The Big Bang Theory and Ellen. You get to sit where the live audience usually sits and learn what goes on during shooting.
