For the most charming stay in Malmö, Hotel TwentySix delivers at the highest form of warmth and enchantment.
For many years, there was a famous motto, “What’s the best of Malmö? Go to Copenhagen.” As an easy day trip destination from Denmark’s capital city, Malmö had long been overlooked.
In recent years, however, the conversations are changing. The city formerly known for shipyards and canals is now a foodie destination boasting fun activities available for the entire family, without the hefty price tag in Copenhagen and Stockholm.

While in Malmö, the charming home away from home is located on the historical Norra Vallgatan street. Hotel TwentySix offers 22 alluring rooms that are just as sweet as its staff. Michael Adams, Head of Guest Reservations & Guest Services, told us,
“It makes me proud to work in a boutique hotel like this. We hope they walk away with a good night’s sleep, we hope guests love the quiet rooms despite being so close to the railway station. And that they feel this is a personal experience, not like a hotel that has 500 rooms.”
We couldn’t agreed more.
THE HISTORY
Hotel TwentySix was originally conceived in 1926 as a private property, the name is stemmed from the year the building was constructed, rather than the number of the street it resides.
The city of Malmö experienced a dramatic democratic development as well as the labor movement during the 1920s, when then Swedish Prime Minister Per Albin Hansson presented the Swedish state as a “People’s Home,” which eventually led to Malmö as a model city and society after WWII.

The charming hotel is located on the prominent street of Norra Vallgatan, edging the city’s main canal which was built in the early 19th century as part of Malmö’s defense system.
