On the edges of DTLA’s flourishing Arts District, Beyond the Streets puts on an expansive groundbreaking exhibition of street art. From now until July 6^th, hype beasts and art history nerds can witness “the soaring heights to which the world’s most recognizable modern art movement has risen.” It’s a one-of-a-kind exhibit which displays graffiti, street art, photography, sculpture and more on a grand, stunning scale.

Curated by Roger Gastman, celebrated graffiti historian and filmmaker, Beyond the Streets is an amalgamation of the most relevant and political street artists of our time. This latest exhibition serves as a testament to how street art has seized the power to create and change contemporary culture. Anyone will recognize the iconic propaganda imagery of Shepard Fairey, the political statements of Banksy and the funky characters of INVADER present at the exhibit. There are also unbelievably large scale installations such as FAILE’s life-size temple of tile mosaics and poetic wall panels by SWOON. Whether you’re looking for your fill of freight train graffiti, spray-painted garage doors, neon signs or all-immersive installations, Beyond the Streets will leave you in awe of contemporary art’s most exciting movement.
