It’s a mix between Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

God I love Scotland. I adore the Scots and their accent, their great sense of humor and how they’re so down-to-earth while being incredibly proud of their country and heritage at the same time. Nobody talks about Scotland but when you travel there it’s like landing in a world you never thought existed. Especially in Edinburgh, whose setting is like a mix between Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.
Edinburgh is an absolute gem. It’s majestic, sophisticated and lovely. Every corner you turn you’re greeted with a postcard view of an old castle along with the surrounding mountains and the sea. There’s tons of art and culture—Edinburgh is the host of the world famous Fringe Festival every August—as well as a lively foodie and bar scene. Nature is all around you and very near to the city, as you can hike up to Arthur’s Seat or Calton Hill for gorgeous landscape views.
