Burdick has numerous stores in: New York, Boston, New Hampshire…etc. They have kindly shared one of their most festive recipes with our fans: L.A. Burdick Peppermint Hot Chocolate! Ingredients (serves 6)
1 Quart Skim Milk
2 Tbs. Loose Leaf Peppermint Tea
3 cups of L.A. Burdick Chocolate
3 tsps cocoa powder (optional)
Place tea into a tea bag, tie securely and place in saucepan
Add milk to the saucepan and bring to a simmer (be careful not to scald)
Turn off heat and let tea steep in milk for minimum of 30 mins.
Remove the tea bag and let the milk cool.
Combine peppermint milk, 3 cups Burdick’s dark, milk or white chocolate and three tsp. cocoa powder (optional) in a sauce pan.
Heat over a low to medium flame while whisking until hot.
Serve right away and garnish with home-made whipped cream if desired.
