Get ready, Bachelor Nation! The latest season of The Bachelor did not take place inside the usual Bachelor Mansion in Los Angeles, but all the way across the country in Pennsylvania.
Matt James’ season, much like Tayshia’s season of The Bachelorette, is following safety guidelines due to COVID-19 and using a new hotel as the latest filming location. James and his contestants spent a few weeks at the Nemacolin Resort, situated in Farmland, Pennsylvania. With a whole new backdrop for this year’s journey to find love, it’s no doubt that season 25 has been unlike any other.
Nemacolin Resort stretches across 2,000 acres and offers five different options where guests can stay, including: The Chateau, Falling Rock, The Homes, The Estates, and The Lodge (reopening in 2022.) It looks like we’ll get to see a lot of the resort during this season, so let’s take a look at where all the drama is about to go down.
The Chateau offers a decadent dining experience, along with iconic rooms and suites, while The Estates feature grand getaways with elegant decor, and is suitable for big groups or families. Guests can expect outdoor ice skating, dog sledding, art tours, paintball, ziplining, historic and natural landmarks…and more. Woodlands Spa and Salon offers signature treatments, such as: the “chocolate indulgence massage.” Other show-stopping experiences include: the zoo and a private airstrip! It seems like we have a lot to look forward to while waiting to see exactly which of these activities will be part of James’ dates.
Based on the premiere last week, we can already tell that this season will be one to watch, especially if you want to live in luxury at the Nemacolin just like the contestants. You can officially stay at the resort, following safety guidelines for the pandemic. Nemacolin offers 320 rooms, with an art collection consisting of over 1,000 pieces and golf courses used for the PGA tour. But if you want to experience the resort like Matt James, you’d have to take a look at one of the suites Nemacolin offers: the Arden Estates. That’s where most of the season was filmed!
If you’ve been a member of Bachelor Nation for some time now, then you might recognize Nemacolin Resort from JoJo Fletcher’s season! The rose ceremony took place at Chateau Lafayette, and JoJo stayed in the resort’s finest room: the Presidential Suite. Other Bachelor contestants like Jason Tartick have also mentioned Nemacolin Resort in the past. Tartick said it was one of his favorite vacation spots!
This season of The Bachelor has the franchise’s first ever Black bachelor and, for the first time, takes place mostly outside of California. Though you might not be on-screen with the cast, you can still indulge in the same luxury experience in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands at Nemacolin Resort.
