Ever attempted cake-in-a-mug? Well this recipe is a step up! Chocolate chip cookies are the elite midnight craving of all snacks, but this twist makes it easier than ever to enjoy some gooey cookie magic. This recipe from Buzzfeed by @tasty is everything!

  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of regular sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons of flour

Mix well and put your bowl in the microwave for 60 seconds, or until full baked.

Hot Chocolate Bomb

@catmathbakeMy first attempt at hot chocolate bombs. Yummm!#dessert #hotchocolatebombs #treat #hotchocolate #christmas #baking♬ Let It Snow – Christmas Music

This recipe has been all over TikTok and is super fun to make before a movie night! Not only is it delicious, this reinvention of a Christmas classic is exactly what you need after a long day. The name comes from the way the marshmallows explode into your drink. @catmathbake has a great TikTok with instructions, which is outlined below! This recipe entails a few parts but very simple ingredients.

  • Melted Chocolate
  • Hot cocoa mix
  • Marshmallows
  • Half circle baking mold

You’ll need to pour the melted chocolate into the half circle mold and freeze for 7-10 minutes. Once they’re frozen, melt the edges on a hot plate, just enough so they can stick to each other. Fill the half circle molds with the hot cocoa mix and marshmallows (I’ve also seen people add in festive sprinkles and candy cane pieces for some extra flavor.) Then, put your hot chocolate bomb in a mug and pour hot milk over it. Enjoy as the marshmallows and cocoa explode and stir before drinking!

Gingerbread Pancakes

The perfect way to wake up on Christmas morning is with a stack of gingerbread pancakes! I loved @stickaforkinme’s TikTok recipe for this delicious meal.

  • 1 cup of buttermilk pancake mix
  • 2 teaspoons of molasses, ginger, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg
  • ⅔ cup of water
  • Maple Syrup
  • Whipped Cream

Stir the ingredients together and then leave it for 2 minutes. Cook and flip like a normal pancake for 1-2 minutes per side. Add any festive decorations or syrup flavors and you’re all set for the perfect breakfast.

Peppermint bark has never been easier to make! With just a few ingredients and easy instructions, this is the perfect holiday snack in midst of a busy day. @eatsbyramya has a super quick recipe on her Instagram which only takes 5 minutes to make.

  • Melted Chocolate Chips  with ½ tablespoons of coconut oil (dark, milk, and white)
  • Crushed Candy Canes

First you’ll need to crush up the candy canes and melt your choice of chocolate for 30 seconds in the microwave. Then pour your melted chocolate across a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread your chocolate using a spatula and drizzle some extra on top of this layer. Add your crushed candy cane evenly throughout and stick it all in the freezer for 1 hour. Break into pieces and it’s ready to eat!

Baked Apple

This is the perfect after dinner dessert! Made by @upclosebaking, this recipe is fun to eat and so satisfying!

  • 1 Apples
  • ¼ cup of granola
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Honey
  • Pecans

You’ll need to preheat the oven to 400°F and then core the apples 3/4 down the center, removing the seeds in the process. Then fill the hole with brown sugar and granola and add butter, pecans, and honey on top. Put the apples in a deep baking pan and fill it with an inch of water. Finally, bake for 40-50 minutes and wait for them to cool slightly before eating!
