1. Bottega Louie

If you’re looking for a Parisian escape, Bottega Louie will make you feel like you’re sitting in a little patisserie near the Seine. They have everything from tiramisu, crème brulée, fruit tarts, macarons, and gelato. You can stop by in the morning and enjoy one of their delicious beignets with a cup of tea or coffee. Or, if you want a sweet treat after dinner, try a chocolate soufflé that will be sure to satisfy your chocolate cravings. Some of their desserts can be a little pricey, but totally worth the splurge. I’ll take a pistachio macaron, please!

2. Sprinkles Cupcakes

Be prepared to wait in line for these delicious treats. I mean, everyone loves cupcakes right? Popular flavors like red velvet, chocolate marshmallow, and black & white (dark chocolate cake with vanilla frosting) are available everyday of the week at this hot spot. If you want something new, they have new flavors every month for you to try. This month’s flavors are vanilla hazelnut chocolate and German chocolate. And good news dog lovers out there: they make doggie cupcakes too! So while you’re strolling around downtown LA, you and your pet can enjoy Sprinkles.

3. Milk Jar Cookies

This adorable shop is the perfect place for all you cookie monsters out there. Their cookies have that perfect crunch on the outside with a warm gooey middle. For $3 you can choose from flavors like rocky road, raspberry white chocolate, and banana split. Personally, I love chocolate chip, as you can never go wrong with a classic. If one cookie isn’t enough to put you in a sugar rush, you can add a scoop of ice cream for $2 more, or make it into an ice cream sandwich. Don’t worry, you can get a glass of milk to wash it all down.

4. Syrup Desserts

If you like ice cream on your waffles and crepes then Syrup is definitely the place for you. Although it is open early, you’ll want to check this place out at night. This is a cool place to hangout after dinner, with a great atmosphere, great desserts, and board games! Be sure to try the blackberry jasmine ice cream that they’re known for or their many different hot chocolates for something warm to enjoy at the end of your night.

5. Milk

This is one of my favorite places to go for a late night treat. Milk has sandwiches, milkshakes, baked goods, and ice cream. This place is known for having a line out the door on some nights, but most agree that it’s worth the wait. The ice cream parlor is the more popular section of the shop with classic sundaes and malts. But the main attraction is definitely their ice cream sandwiches. You can build your own and choose your flavor and cookie, or you can get one of their macaron ice cream sandwiches that will definitely satisfy your sugar needs. Make sure to save this place in your phone, because you’ll definitely want to come back.
