Baby wipes or musty wipes. I don’t leave home without them.

Deorro knows a thing or two about traveling the world thanks to years of extensive touring. His beats beg to be played at a blow-out-your-speakers volume and are sure to get a party started—especially his latest single “Andele.” Deorro talks life on tour and shares his favorite places in the world, as well as his must-dos while visiting his hometown of Los Angeles.

1. What’s your favorite vacation destination in the world?

My vacation time is at home. I spend so much time away in places where people go on vacation that my vacation is spent at home.

2. What’s the one thing that’s ALWAYS in your suitcase?

Baby wipes or musty wipes. I don’t leave home without them. Always gotta have a clean bum hahaha.

3. What’s one thing you miss most when you’re away from home?

My kids, my dogs, my family. Just home in general. My kids are growing up so fast and I feel like I’m missing it all. And then my dogs. Maria has the cutes under bite it’s hard not to miss and one can’t be away from family for too long before you start getting homesick.

4. What’s your favorite city to play a show in?

It’s between South Padre island, El Paso and Guadalajara. These are the three loudest and most energetic crowds I’ve had the pleasure of playing for.

5. As a Los Angeles native, what’s one thing you think everyone must do while visiting LA?

Visit La Carreta, it’s the best taco spot in LA right on Vernon and Compton. Also, gotta go to the Drum Circle in Venice Beach on Sundays. It’s something that influenced a lot of my early production days. I learned all kinds of different rhythms. And your most common place to go is to Disneyland.

6. Where’s one place you’ve never been, but have always wanted to go?

The Grand Canyon somehow, some way, were always so close but never get to visit it. That’s one of the downsides of this job, you always have somewhere to be. Don’t get me wrong this is still considered a blessing.
