Navruz Palace
Funny enough, the world’s biggest teahouse isn’t one where you can eat and drink inside. But, it certainly is a must-see!
Prior to the rise of media as we know it, teahouses were a place of social gatherings. Navruz was commissioned by President Emomali Rahmon in 2002, and covers 40,000 square meters of space which includes: a man made lake, bowling alley, restaurant, cinema, karting tracks, gardens, dining and conference halls are just a few of a number of sparkling chambers that elevate the beauty of an extravagant institution.

Toqi Teahouse
Toqi Teahouse is a beautiful setting to be spoiled with traditional Tajik cuisine, especially for budget travelers since the price points are more accessible than other teahouses.
Located near Victory Park and Mehrgon Market, Toqi is adorned with trestle beds and antique wooden tables. The menu offers recipes that have been passed down through generations, be sure to try plov which is Uzbekistan’s national dish but is eaten throughout Central Asia. Kebabs and salads are also lovely here.

Rohat Teahouse

Chaykhona Rohat is legendary in Dushanbe as the oldest tea house in the city. It opened in 1958, as a two-story restaurant with an open terrace featuring massive mosaics in vibrant hues. Fountains and day beds make this institution a popular hangout during summer months.
Although Chaykhona Rohat is a fan-favorite teahouse, the dinner menu also captures regular customers with delicous lagman, shurpa and plov. If you want to see a place where travelers and locals integrate, this place is it.
