K-pop has taken the world by storm.
There are people all over the globe idolizing K-pop stars, listening to their music, and following the trends. Its popularity is largely due to the singers and eye-catching visuals capturing the attention of fans who speak other languages and can’t fully understand the lyrics. Even though K-pop bands have risen on the global stage, there is more music to discover. I would definitely recommend checking out these soloists:
Eric Nam

Eric Nam is a huge K-pop singer with over a million followers and a unique style. His music will put you in a great mood. I recommend checking out his song “Honestly” and his cover of Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.”
IU

IU is an extremely popular K-pop singer, as well as an actress. She has beautiful and colorful music videos and a fun personality. Two songs I love by her are “Palette” and “Bleuming.” Another largely popular one is “BBIBBI.”
Jennie

Jennie is a member of K-pop girl group Blackpink but made her solo debut a few years ago. She remains one of the big names in K-pop and fans are hoping she makes a solo comeback soon. One of her songs “Solo” has over four hundred million views.
Jay Park

Jay Park is one of my personal favorites. He is a rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, etc. He has a lot of exciting tracks like “Yacht,” which is really catchy and has a great dance visual video. I would recommend him to anyone looking to listen to a fresh voice in K-pop.
Zion T

Zion T is a hip-hop and R&B artist who has been releasing music since 2011 and has a really original sound. His EP “OO” has some of his best songs, like “Cinema” and “Comedian.”
Taeyeon

Taeyeon is a popular soloist in the industry. She’s been a part of the group Girls Generation, but made her solo debut in 2015. She has a pretty voice that never disappoints. You can hear it on one of her more recent tracks, “Four Seasons!”
J-Hope

J-Hope is from the incredibly popular band known as BTS. He is a rapper with millions of dedicated fans. In 2018, he released a solo mixtape and charted high on the Billboard 200. I highly recommend his solo music, specifically “Airplane” which is one of my favorites with a beautiful video.
