  • Pashupatinath temple – This is a famous Hindu temple in Kathmandu, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. It is the oldest temple of Nepal and counted among the most pious Shiva temples built a few centuries back. Tourists are amazed by its pagoda-style architecture with four doors covered in silver sheets and a gold pinnacle.
  • Durbar Square – This place is also called Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, due to a huge statue of Hanuman at its entrance. It is located in front of the royal palace of Nepal and surrounded by several temples, like Trailokya Mohan Narayan Temple, Vishnu Temple, Taleju Temple, and Indrapur Temple.   • Begnas Lake – This freshwater lake in Pokhara city is the third largest lake in Nepal. A dam is built on its western stream to regulate its water and use it for irrigation.
  • Mount Everest – This is the highest mountain peak in the world. Tourists travel to its base camp to have a clear view of this glorious peak with Everest Base Camp Trek. People also visit the International Mountain Museum to know more about this peak. Some adventurous tourists love skydiving and riding hot air balloons over Mount Everest.
