After the success of Azur, the Dubrovnik-born brothers Darko and Vedran decided to enter the alcohol business. THE BAR by Azur became their new baby, captivating their thirsty clients who wanted a place to go after a satisfying meal in their restaurant.
Tucked in a tiny alley off of Old Town’s main street, THE BAR is considerably a hidden gem you may accidentally stumble upon as a wanderlust after dusk. Tired of overly crowded bars in Dubrovnik? The ambiance here is laidback, chill. Engage in a conversation with a stranger at the next table, you’ll likely discover another interesting story of a new business, a traveling adventure, or an artist’s escape.
The cocktails are excellent across the board: Summer Brumble was our personal favorite. In for something bitter? The Negronis are just as fabulous as the Daiquiris if you’re in for the sweet spot. If cocktails aren’t your jam, then go for a velvet rouge Dingač or ask for one of their classy whiskies. You won’t be disappointed.
