Kings, aristocrats, artists and many Europeans in general have been coming to Mallorca to take idyllic holidays and soak in the island’s unbelievably breathtaking views. It’s not difficult to imagine why nations and empires, from the Phoenicians to the Romans to the Bourbons, have consistently fought over this jewel in the Mediterranean in order to incorporate it into their territories.

While exploring its many beaches along the coast, you’ll find yourself constantly wondering how water can take on such bright, vibrant and shimmery colors. The Baleares Islands of Spain, which also include Ibiza and Menorca, are known for their shockingly bright blue waters, spectacular coves and wild parties. Sort of like the Hawaii of Europe, the Baleares are an ever popular vacation destination which now attracts more than 13 million tourists every year.

Mallorca, which is the largest island, offers the most variety and number of scenic beaches and towns to visit, with over 150 sand beaches and coves along with 53 different municipalities. The capital city of Mallorca and the larger autonomous community of the Baleares Islands, Palma, is a lively, metropolitan city next to the sea with more than 600,000 people in the urban area. The historic center is beautifully preserved and the famous Palma cathedral is a majestic sight which visitors to Mallorca should not miss.

So for those looking for an exciting and pleasurable holiday with stunning views, fly over to Mallorca which will give you a delightful glimpse into heaven on earth.
