Kimpton Aysla Mallorca is located just 30 minutes west of Palma, in a tranquil location near Santa Ponça. Nestled among lush golf courses and tennis courts, the resort provides guests the sensation of being off-the-grid without isolation from the capital and the rest of the island. Driving up to the hotel, the resort appears as a gleaming minimalist cube from the outside. In the interior, bright colors and textures await!

The Kimpton brand continues to elevate the vibrant and whimsical design of its properties, and this is more apparent than ever at Kimpton Aysla Mallorca. As the brand’s very first resort in Europe, Kimpton pulled out all the stops in constructing stylish spaces that are upscale at every corner of the property. From the moment guests walk into the luminous lobby with huge Balinese rattan chairs, funky vases, and white rock reception counters, the energy of the hotel is chic, laid-back, and never stuffy. THE ROOMS

Expect a sophisticated oasis made for fun and relaxation. The rooms are decorated in keeping with the bright tropical colors, bold prints, and funky ceramic vases. Most rooms come with outdoor space in the form of a spacious balcony with rattan lounge chairs, and the king private garden suite comes with a fabulous private patio for entertaining with a hammock in the sun. Each room is well-appointed with Bang & Olufsen speakers, TVs with Chromecast, a kettle, a minibar, and recycled yoga mats — everything you need for a good old time.

THE AMENITIES

All the wellness facilities are top-of-the-line. The fitness center occupies an entire floor outfitted with high-tech exercise equipment, a large yoga studio, and an ample calisthenics section. The resort offers daily workout classes as well as sessions for guided meditation, chakra, and more wellness activities. The spa is dreamy and luxurious, complete with a large heated indoor pool, jet jacuzzies, chromotherapy showers, a steam room, a sauna, a Himalayan salt cave, and a mud bathroom (which requires a reservation.)

THE POOLS

There are two outdoor swimming pools on the property. The main pool is accompanied by plenty of sun loungers to go around and views of the mountains in the backdrop. For those who want something a little more secluded, the adults-only pool around the corner is perfect.

Zayt is the ultra-trendy pool club restaurant which sets an ideal vision for al fresco dining. The entire space is shaded by a boho-chic slatted roof while surrounded by the lush gardens and glittering swimming pools. Zayt offers the perfect menu of tapas and snacks after spending an afternoon by the pool, including: calamari, poke bowls, fries, burgers, and pizzas. But the restaurant also provides an outdoor grill where seafood and steaks are prepared for a proper lunch.

THE RESTAURANTS

Saba is the hotel’s main restaurant inside the social building. The menu is a fusion of Asian or Mediterranean flavors, the latter of which guests can also enjoy at Saba Bar next to the lobby. The Asian menu is where creative dishes and flavors can be tasted. Saba offers a fun blend of Korean and Japanese elaborations, like: bibimbap with salmon tartare, Korean baozi with truffle, grilled scallop with katsuobushi, and a fabulous miso eggplant infused with a woody smokiness. The sushi and sashimi are mouthwateringly fresh, with a fun selection of wagyu with foie gras, chutoro with caviar, and bulgogi kimbap.

Saba’s bar menu is also stacked with highly appealing signature cocktails like the Shiro Negroni with sake and yuzu or the Mallorca Negroni with Mallorquin vermouth and orange gin.
