Mongolia’s first organic skincare brand.
This summer, I traveled to Mongolia and experienced one of the most authentic journeys through vast steppes and boundless nature. More than a quarter of Mongolias still maintain a nomadic lifestyle, roaming over resilient mountains and sheltering in yurts, referred to as gers. Mongolians are breathtakingly beautiful people, exhibiting remarkable cheekbones and luscious hair. Timid in attitude yet striking in profile. Generously hospitable with a heavy dose of raw grit. Family is at the heart of local traditions, from ivory yurts to a smoggy Ulaanbaatar.
One of the first stops during our trip was at a nomadic camp where we learned customs and ancient lifestyles that have been passed down for centuries. Before the tour started, I spent a few minutes inside the souvenir shop located in a darkened yurt garnished with cheeky magnets, bags, notebooks, key chains that belonged in an airport kiosk. What caught my eye, however, were tastefully packaged skincare products in recycled paper, minimally designed lip balms and hand creams that should’ve been displayed in a Danish concept store. I would know since I was headed for Copenhagen in a few weeks. That was the first time I saw Lhamour.

A few weeks later, my Mongolian journey was ending in Ulaanbaatar with a shopping trip inside the oldest department store in the capital city. As soon as my mother and I entered an outdated, so-called State Department Store, my eyes landed right on Lhamour again. Between ubiquitous international beauty brands that we can all memorize and glossy glass shelves, I picked up a few Lhamour items to try at home. After a few weeks of exfoliating my skin with organic coffee body scrub, dripping my face with the award-winning rosehip oil, I decided to contact Lhamour as a new addition joining Jetset Times SHOP. Its founder Khulan and I spoke on Monday, our contract was signed by Friday. We hit it off right away, not simply because she is absolutely impressive of an international woman, but that I was already a massive fan of her products.

Lhamour is Mongolia’s first organic skincare brand, perfect for women with sensitive skin or eczema. It modernizes more than 70 different types of ingredients that Mongolian nomads have been using for decades. For example, rosehip has been traditionally used as tea, while Lhamour transforms it into facial oil which helps with anti-wrinkle and anti-dark spots. The brand directly sources ingredients – like: animal fat, goat and yak milk – from nomads and herders. Every part of the manufacturing process is ethical, plant-based and faire trade.

I hope that Lhamour brings more self love into your life, while inspiring a thrilling adventure in Mongolia.
With love,
