Right in the heart of Manchester, Piccadilly Records has been a home for music lovers for nearly five decades. Founded in 1978, the shop grew alongside the city’s legendary music scene — surviving format changes, industry shake-ups, and the rise of streaming, while staying fiercely independent the whole time.

From post-punk and indie revolutions to dancefloor-defining electronic music, from Oasis to The Stone Roses; Manchester’s sound has always been restless and forward-thinking. Piccadilly Records reflects that spirit. Over the years, the shop has become a trusted tastemaker — known for championing new releases, supporting independent labels, and giving local artists shelf space alongside global heavyweights.

Packed wall-to-wall with vinyl and CDs, the iconic record shop carries new releases as well as essential catalogue titles, cult classics, imports, and staff picks — all clearly labelled and thoughtfully organized. This is a must-stop for music lovers that are fans of  artwork, liner notes, and sound that fills a room.
