Your Guide To A COVID-Friendly Spring Break

Even if you’re not in college, this guide for a different Spring Break can give you some alternative ideas.

Normally, college students look forward to their Spring Break vacations at beach parties and gatherings with their friends. But, this year will look different than all the years in the past. We’ve mentioned tiny home getaways before, in addition here are some ways to get the most out of your break, with regards to the safety of others.

When you think of Spring Break it often involves an aquatic-based adventure. While heading down to the crowded beaches of Daytona is probably not a safe idea, there are plenty of people renting out their homes on Airbnb. Get your closest group of friends together and make sure you are abiding by the state COVID guidelines for a fun weekend getaway. We would advice:

  • Keep your group small, try not to have more than 4-5 people on the trip.
  • Make sure you stay inside the Airbnb during most of the trip so you’re not at risk of bringing back the virus from outside.
  • Book a place in a remote area, where not many crowds will be around.
  • Besides being prepared with masks, bring LOTS of sanitizers and have them be readily available in common areas.

Another perk, no need to pay for overpriced cocktails and food when you’re making it all yourself! Just be sure that everyone is tested before the trip!

Spring Break trips can come with a hefty price tag. With the lack of travel this year, why not put that money you would have spent into a meal at that 5-star restaurant you’ve always wanted to try. Don’t have a boo? Go with friends and experience the meal of a lifetime!

Staycation

My personal favorite: a staycation can be everything you want it to be. Chef a decadent Gordan Ramsey recipe with your roommates and whip up your favorite beachy cocktails. The possibilities are endless and you can easily use your food and drink choices to transport to any city or country in the word.

Whatever you choose to do this Spring Break, please stay safe, stay healthy, and have fun!
