The Gossip Girl reboot has signed, sealed, and delivered its new group of Upper East Siders on HBO Max! Their backdrop being none other than glittering Manhattan, New York.

The reboot of the jaw-dropping series, Gossip Girl, stars Jordan Alexander as the influential Instagram model-slash-personality Julien Calloway and Whitney Peak as Julien’s artsy half-sister Zoya Lott. The series also stars Savannah Smith as part-time schemer, full-time perfectionist Monet De Haan, Zion Moreno as part-time shade-thrower, full-time stylist Luna La, Thomas Doherty as the new Chuck Bass archetype Matt Wolfe, Eli Brown as uber-rich social activist Otto “Obie” Bergmann IV, Emily Alyn Lind as overachieving socialite Audrey Hope, Evan Mock as Audrey’s boyfriend Aki Menzies and Tavi Gevinson as the spearhead of the new Gossip Girl initiative Kate Keller.
Without giving too much away too soon, the storyline of the reboot centers around half-sisters Julien and Zoya with their rising battle for dominance at The Constance Billard School for Girls.
SPOLIERS SPOTTED AHEAD…
THE MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

According to Untapped Cities, the museum was the actual location of the original Gossip Girl’s Constance Billard School for Girls during its first two seasons on air. The museum is open now and holds exhibitions, such as Activist New York, which displays social activism through the years and tackles growing issues on race, civil liberties, and immigration.

EL MUSEO

The Museum of The City of New York is right next door to this Latin American museum that prides itself on the culture in the Americas through the modern era. This museum is hosting a Black Culture and Music community celebration to “Bounce Back” from the pandemic.
THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART STEPS

If you are fans of the original GG, then you know that the reboot could not resist filming where some of the most iconic showdowns in the series took place. Yes, we are talking about the MET steps. Here Julien called Zoya over to take a photo before inviting her out on an after-school excursion to a private club, while Julien’s friends were less than enthusiastic.

ANCIENT PLAYGROUND

If you are looking for somewhere to bring your kids to run and play, this playground is not far at all. Inspired by Egyptian art, the park features encourage a tailored exploration for children.

If you want to stay in the museum route, however, there is always Neue Galerie, a museum for German and Austrian art. Their stunning fashion and accessories exhibition is open until September 5th, along with other Austrian works.
DUMBO

Believe it or not, this famously exclusive club was not filmed in Dumbo.
According to Untapped Cities, the “Dumbo Club” that was spoken of in the episode was an imitation of Dumbo House, which is why there was a name change. Secrets were revealed to the ruling class that night, which ended with Obie and Zoya’s dramatic exit for the party.

If you prefer to be one with the Brooklyn Bridge in its natural habitat, the ferry is the way to go. Have a picnic on the Ferry lawns or cruise alongside Jane’s Carousel.
PARK AVENUE ARMORY

The young socialites did a lot of playing with fire at the Armory. The 55,000-square-foot Wade Thompson Drill Hall is dedicated to artists and encourages them to keep creating. In fact, their next commission involves a famous director, choreographer and dancer returning to the stage for the first time in over fifteen years.
