Get that warm feeling in your “Hart” when you visit family-friendly community of Boston and Canada.

Fatherhood, the book-to-movie adaptation of a true story, stars comedic superstar Kevin Hart as the new father and newly widowed Matt Logelin. Alongside Hart, stars Melody Hurd as the bright precocious Maddy Logelin, Lil Rel Howery as the comedic cousin Jordan, Anthony Carrigan as the odd friend and co-worker, Alfre Woodard as the helicopter mother-in-law Marion, Frankie Faison as wise father-in-law Mike, Thedra Porter as Matt’s mom Anna, and Deborah Ayorinde as deceased wife and new mother Liz Logelin.
Based on the real-life memoir of Matthew Logelin, the movie tells his struggles of being a new father while also coping with the loss of his beloved wife. He must bring up his daughter with the community he creates on his own.

CAUTION: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD…
If you sense a big city vibe but cannot quite pinpoint where Matt and Maddy put down their roots, that is because production chose to film the movie in two different cities: Boston, Massachusetts and Montreal, Canada.
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS

The most memorable father-daughter scenes were filmed in Boston Common Park, there is no doubt why with all the family attractions!

From stopping by the Boston Common Park Bridge to watch the ducks swim in the lagoon or paddling along with them in swan boats…

Or smelling the flowers in public garden…

There are also multiple historic monuments and memorials around the park that make for a remarkable walking tour. According to Boston Discovery Guide, there are several sculptures that depict moments from the Civil War.

Or if the kids get bored, the seasonal carousel are worth a try! While Maddy seems to enjoy them, Matt has a different opinion (cue Kevin Hart’s terrified scream.)

To be even more specific: Notre-Dame-De-Grace or N.D.G.
According to The Cinemaholic, the majority of Fatherhood’s “Boston” was really filmed in residential and commercial locations. Homes and outdoor spaces like the ones above.
This neighborhood is also famous for its cuisine. Home to the longest running chicken spots, Cote-St-Luc BBQ and Chalet BBQ.

Fatherhood was released on Netflix during Father’s Day weekend this year and is now available to stream with the whole family! Even that one cousin… because we all have them.
