Inside The Robot Restaurant Chrissy Teigen Loves

Princess warriors, battling robots, and dinosaurs!

Tokyo is known for its futuristic vibes. Neon lights and enormous skyscrapers all make this vibrant city a flashy experience. So much so that Chrissy Teigen is a massive fan, especially of the famous Robot Restaurant in the bustling Shinjuku downtown district.

The underground theme restaurant/bar features a 90-minute aucous pop-culture show with robotic monsters, dancers & lasers. On Monday, Teigen posted a video with the caption, ““not many people can or will say they’ve been to robot restaurant twice.”

Opened in 2012, Robot Restaurant has been uber-popular with worldwide travelers, getting a kick out of the Japanese bewildering imagination. Storylines involving warrior princesses fighting massive robots, dancing men wired in glowing lights, and dinosaurs hulking down the stage are just a few entertaining visual spectacles.

Since the show changes several times in a year, Teigen has seen it twice and loved it both times. Tickets need to be booked in advance, they go for $56 (6,000 yen) each.

The menu comes with popcorn and bento boxes. Not much of a Michelin gourmet, but the reason to be there is for the stage action.

THIS might just be the ultimate Tokyo experience you can’t find back home!
