Best Bars & Lounges In Disney’s Hollywood Studios

If you’re spending the day in Hollywood Studios, you might find yourself needing a break from the chaos. In that case, you’ll want to stop at one of these five bars or lounges to quench your need for a beverage, or even a meal.

Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios is without a doubt the park with the fastest pace on all of Disney property. With a plethora of themes, lands, rides, shows, parades and more; this location can become exhausting pretty quickly. That’s why we’re here to give you the inside scoop on Hollywood Studios’ bars and lounges, so you can take that much needed break. Keep in mind there are other locations in this park that serve alcoholic beverages, however, these are the most notable bars and lounges! Starting with our top spot, here are some of our favorites.

If you’re yearning to literally step into the Star Wars movies, look no further. The theme of Oga’s Cantina, located in Galaxy’s Edge, is truly unbeatable. You’ll enter the famous watering hole and be greeted by DJ R-3X, a former Starspeeder 3000 pilot. This bot will play some catchy tunes as you settle into what feels like a completely different galaxy. At this dine-in bar, you’ll be able to sip on some out-of-this-world concoctions, such as the “Fuzzy Tauntaun,” which contains a “Buzz Button Tingling” foam. This foam delivers a mouth-numbing effect, which can be pretty hilarious if you’re not expecting it. The feeling wears off fairly quickly, so there’s no need to worry. In addition to its wide variety of drinks, Oga’s Cantina only has very few small plate options, so if you’re looking for a meal this is definitely not the place for you. If we’re being honest, the theme is the true appeal, so if you’re not into it, skip it! But if you are a huge Star Wars fan, you’ll want to make a reservation in advance. Seating at Oga’s Cantina fills up rather quickly. We highly recommend this bar, and may the force be with you when trying to reserve your spot!

This location at Hollywood Boulevard is adjacent to the well-known Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant. The entrées are definitely more upscale than the other bars and lounges in this park, as the menu includes a charcuterie board, fresh fish, and glazed pork belly. You won’t truly be able to find these items at the same level of quality anywhere else in Hollywood Studios, so in our book it’s a total win! It also serves a few non-alcoholic cocktails, making this lounge 100% family-friendly. It has an extensive list of specialty cocktails, wines, beers, and a wide selection of flights. Every adult has something to choose from which is what makes Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge one of our favorites. It emanates luxurious aesthetic while still keeping true to its theme park roots, and we absolutely approve.

The Tune-In Lounge located in Echo Lake is an extension of a Disney favorite: 50’s Prime Time Café. While eating at the café, adults can make the short trip over to the lounge area, serving not only the entire restaurant menu, but a hefty list of drinks as well. The theme of this lounge is super cute, emulating the retro vibe of the 50’s. You can even watch 50’s television while sipping on your drink. Did we mention you can add electric ice cubes to your beverage to give it some flare? These cubes will light up your beverage in neon colors! A full bar is also available in the case that you’re looking for something more specific. Munching on crispy fried chicken or a warm apple crisp while enjoying your drink in Disney? The vibes are unmatched. If you’re traveling with children, we suggest making a stop into the 50’s Prime Time Café for their entertainment, then making your way to the lounge for a few drinks with the adults.

Located on Grand Avenue, BaseLine Tap House is an upbeat pub specializing in California brews and wine. Before we even talk about the drinks, this is your sign to order the Bavarian Pretzel. If you were even just thinking about it, we urge you to listen to your instincts. This soft, doughy, salty pretzel served with beer-cheese fondue and spicy mustard should be a good enough reason to make a stop here. Moving onto the rest of the lounge menu, it has an abundance of craft beers on tap. There is one for every beer-drinker in the park at BaseLine Tap House. There are noticeably less wines and cocktails, but that is to be expected at a pub. One thing we love about BaseLine Tap House is: indoor and outdoor seating, so depending on the weather you can switch up your experience. It’s a great place for a quick snack and drink.

Sunshine Day Bar is more of a quick stop rather than a full lounge experience. Located on Sunset Boulevard, it will give you access to a full bar as well as specialty cocktails and other beverages. This walk-up bar can cater to your every drinking need, so if you want something specific this is the perfect place for you. They do not, however, have many non-alcoholic options, so you shouldn’t expect to be able to get much for the kids here. While some of their signature cocktails are a bit on the expensive side, the rest of their drink menu is pretty on par with the others in the park. This is strictly a bar, so you will not be able to find anything to eat here. We really only suggest you stop by if you’re feeling thirsty on your walk down Sunset Boulevard. Otherwise, there are plenty of other paces to sit down, relax and have some food and drinks. It’s not that we dislike Sunshine Day Bar, it’s just not the total Disney vacation experience as some of the other bars are.
