Did you know, however, that Animal Kingdom has some of the best snacks in all of the Disney Parks?! From vegetables to desserts, this park has got you covered. Here’s our list of five snacks (or small plates) you definitely don’t want to miss out on in Animal Kingdom.
1. Colossal Cinnamon Roll

Photo Credit: @disney_foodie_This Mickey-shaped, sweet, gooey delicious snack can be found at the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery located in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom. This moist doughy roll topped with sweet cinnamon sugar and the perfect amount of icing is for sure a must-try. This enormous cinnamon roll is definitely enough for two to share, and will have you licking your fingers to get every last bit! Like any cinnamon roll, you have to save the center for last (unless of course in this case, you want to save the special Mickey-ears for last.) Priced at $7.49, you might think that’s a bit expensive for a cinnamon roll, but trust us when we say it’s size and taste makes every penny worth it.
2. Chicken Fried Rice

The chicken fried rice at Yak & Yeti located in the Asia section of Animal Kingdom is so flavorful, and a great snack for sharing! Coming in at one of the best value snacks, it only costs $5.99. To share between two people, in a Disney park, we think that is totally a steal. The portion is definitely perfect for a shareable snack, and comes in very convenient container so you can still peruse the park while you eat! Not to mention the vibrant color and detail of the container it’s in makes this snack picture perfect.
3. Simba Sunset

At Tamu Tamu Refreshments located in the Africa Section of Animal Kingdom, you can find a fun twist on this beloved dessert. The Simba Sunset is a DOLE Whip that has been drizzled with sweet strawberry syrup, that also includes watermelon and coconut to make it that much more refreshing and tropical. This snack will run you $5.99, but rarely will people (especially children) be able to finish it all on their own! It’s an aesthetically pleasing snack that will also please your taste buds.
4. Pongu Lumpia

It is essentially a spring roll, with a crispy and flaky outer layer, that is filled with sweet pineapple and cream cheese. The contrast between the pineapple and cream cheese is what makes this snack so appealing. To top it all off, the outside is lightly dusted with sugar, to satisfy those with a sweet tooth. For only $3.79, you’ll probably want to get more than one! Yes, they’re that good.
5. Buffalo Chicken Chips

This section of Animal Kingdom is dedicated to dinosaurs, which already makes it that much more fun and exciting. The buffalo chicken chips served at Trilo-Bites are a fan-favorite for sure. Starting off with a heaping handful of homemade potato chips is always a good sign. Those chips are then topped with diced celery, tomatoes, bleu cheese dressing, and of course, juicy buffalo chicken. The chicken has as little kick, but is definitely more on the mild side for those who don’t like outrageous spice. It is the perfect on-the-go snack, and for $9.29, the amount of toppings you’ll get on these chips are a total steal.
