A good pizza joint is not rare in any of the great boroughs of the Big Apple, but Brooklyn’s top pizzerias deserve a shout-out.
If you are lucky enough to travel through New York with a true New Yorker, then you know that eating delicious pizza is essential to your visit. If not, then this list of Brooklyn’s best is here to the rescue! I think that these places top the charts and deserve our recognition and your visit.
Totonno’s Pizzeria Napoletano
1524 Neptune Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224

A pizza jewel in Coney Island, Totonno’s Pizzeria has been making their slices the same way since 1924. The old school coal oven is one of a handful in the city, and cannot be duplicated today. It makes for generations of great slices. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
L&B Spumoni Gardens
2725 86th St. Brooklyn, NY 11223

As an avid “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives” viewer, the famous L&B has been on my must-try list for a while. When in NY, sometimes a slice will not do; you have to have a square. Look no further than this widely popular joint for a classic square slice. I’ll take a corner please!
Di Fara Pizza
1424 Avenue J, New York, 11230

You cannot say you were not warned. Di Fara Pizza proudly hangs a sign warning its customers of the long wait for a savory slice, but assures them that the product is well worth the time spent. Named “Best Italian Restaurant” by numerous publications, Di Fara Pizza will not disappoint!
Juliana’s Pizza
19 Old Fulton St, New York, NY 11201

Found quaintly under the Brooklyn Bridge, Juliana’s is another famous and tradition-rich pizzeria that had to make my list. Make sure you leave some room in your stomach after a slice or two. Good thing the above bridge is walk-able. I suggest walking off the delicious treat Juliana’s offers. Leave the slice, and the cannoli!
