I love the outdoors; anything to do with nature and nature itself. I am such a huge animal lover. I support many animal rescues and causes and sales from YoMo Essentials help me do that. All of my products begin in nature and are sourced from the purest harvests to help people and their pets live a healthier and more sustainable life. I am a fitness nut, always moving and being active. I seriously can’t sit still! I guess that’s why I became a personal trainer. I love helping others be fit and feel great.

yomo-essentials-shoshana-cohenLiving in Miami gives me an opportunity to be close to nature every day and be able to exercise outdoors year-round. Miami is quite an eclectic city and I enjoy exploring new areas and old architectural sites. Best of all, I am in love with the ocean and I love to travel! I have had the opportunity to travel to various countries over the years and have been to just about every state in the United States.

For me, traveling helps clear the dust from my brain. Observing and experiencing different cultures and lifestyles stimulates my brain. I feel that sometimes we get so stuck in the places we live, almost unaware of the diversity of the world.

Here are my top five vegetarian and vegan restaurants in Miami!

1. Choices Organic Café

711 NW 27th Ave, Miami, Florida 33125 (map, website)

If you’re looking for vegan, vegetarian, and organic food in Miami, Choices Organic Café is one of my favorites! Located on Miami’s Upper East Side, this café serves lovely and delicious vegan, vegan raw and organic dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for burgers, pizza, wraps or quesadillas, you’ll find it here. They even have pancakes! My favorite is the karma burger, which is an absolute must-try! It boasts a lovely and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of cozy outdoor seating. And if you’re not in the area, there’s no need to worry, as there are several locations that can be found throughout the city.

2. Della

56 NW 29th St, Miami, Florida 33127 (map, website)

Who doesn’t love a food truck! Della is exactly that but even better, because it’s a vegan one! Della resides in the Wynwood Yard of Wynwood Arts District. Food is served in bowls and prepared while you wait. I love creating my own dish since I get to choose my protein, my veggies, sauce and much more. The food is amazingly fresh, which is not surprising given that Della grows all its veggies! They also have plenty of yummy deserts and smoothies to choose from. I really enjoy the southwestern bowl, which is certainly a must-try!

3. Sushi Chef

3100 Coral Way, Miami, Florida 33145 (map, website)

When it comes to delicious vegetarian options, Sushi Chef is my top choice for Japanese dining in Miami. The owner is Japanese and is a top-class, world-renowned chef. The food is prepared beautifully and tastes absolutely amazing. The ambiance is friendly and you truly feel at home with the exceptional service. The veggie gyoza dumplings are one of my favorites!

4. Green Gables Café

327 Alhambra Cir, Coral Gables, FL 33134 (map, website)

Green Gables Café is a great lunch spot and a favorite of the locals in Coral Gables. Don’t let the outside fool you – once you step through the door the atmosphere is cozy, warm and welcoming. You can choose from organic vegan, vegetarian or non-vegetarian sustainable dishes. And if you eat gluten free, they offer a wide selection of delicious menu options just for you! I enjoy the raw veggie wrap with their homemade roasted pepper spread, yum!

5. Bombay Darbar

2901 Florida Ave, Miami, FL 33133 (map, website)

If I want to go out for a nice dinner, I choose Bombay Darbar because I love Indian food! The restaurant is attractive and has an open floor plan with ideal lighting and soft music. The servers are attentive and pleasant. There are so many delicious vegetarian choices and you can order any spice level. Personally, I like it spicy! One of my favorite dishes at Bombay Darbar is the Aloo Gobi. I suggest making a reservation ahead of time as Bombay Darbar is quite popular and always full.
