London’s biannual Fashion Week started in 1984 and quickly became one of the most influential and talked about fashion events in the world, with over 250 designers exhibited every season. Naturally, countless celebrities come flocking to the city to join in on the fun and visit some of their favorite hangout spots during their trip. Originally founded in 1963, Annabel’s was the place to be, with an exclusive list of high-profile members–in fact, it’s the only club the Queen was ever known to have visited. The society reopened in 2018 as an ethereal oasis with 4 floors, including private dining rooms, a spa, and a nightclub. The club is less exclusive than it used to be, but certainly just as chic. From hand-painted wallpaper, to a genuine Picasso, everything at Annabel’s is dialed up to the 10s and over the top in the best way.

Named after ancient Roman festivals held in honor of the God of wine, freedom and intoxication, Bacchanalia certainly lives up to the implication of its namesake. Indulgent and extravagant, this luxury restaurant was the most expensive one to build and design in all of London. The outrageous £75 million price tag comes as no surprise once you lay eyes on the floor-to-ceiling murals and authentic 2,000-year-old antique busts throughout. You don’t need a reservation to sit at the bar and order signature cocktails and small plates, but you really don’t want to miss out on the decadent Greek and Italian menu featuring beautifully presented shareable dishes for the whole table. Steeped in mythology and mysterious intrigue, Bacchanalia may be over the top and a bit pricey, but the otherworldly atmospheric fun is well worth the check.

Sexy Fish is lovingly known as a playground for Instagram’s elite, or those that can’t go 15 minutes without taking another selfie. With such uniquely aquatic decor (a 13-foot gold-plated crocodile sculpture and a bronze mermaid statue on the bar), who could blame them? The menu’s main focus is unsurprisingly fish, but there are meat and vegetarian options as well for the seafood-averse crowd. Sexy Fish is also home to the world’s largest Japanese whiskey collection, plus plenty of pretty looking cocktails and mocktails to post on the feed.

Founded in 1929, Quaglino’s was the first public restaurant a reigning monarch had ever eaten in, with Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana as frequent diners. It’s one of the largest restaurants in London, and a major party spot with live music after 10 PM and a fully stocked bar open late. Quaglino’s boasts a classic brasserie style menu, and you really can’t go wrong ordering anything on it.

NoMad Restaurant is located inside of the NoMad Hotel, but open to the public anytime. The dining room doubles as a garden atrium, very greenhouse-esque with a tall glass ceiling letting the natural sunlight shine in. The menu is decidedly American-European fusion, with positively Insta-worthy food presentations. NoMad’s proximity to the Royal Opera House makes it quite the popular pre-show dinner spot for a luxurious meal in style.

The Twenty Two is a 31-room boutique hotel and private club for the “creative and curious.” While it’s definitely geared toward younger generations, everyone is welcome in this 18th century Paris-inspired mansion that’s extravagant without being intimidating. The Living Room, Dining Room, Music Room, and Vault Bar are exclusively available to club members and hotel guests, but the main restaurant, presenting a contemporary British menu, is open to everyone. Jeff Bezos and Tom Cruise are just two of the many celebrities that have been known to mingle at the bar, among the stylishly maximalist decor and gracefully attentive staff.

Isabel is an ultra trendy 70s-inspired restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine with a South American twist, and lots of lactose, sugar, and gluten-free dishes. The ambient lighting and classy vibe make this spot a hit with the fashion-forward crowd. The people-watching opportunities ramp up after 10 PM, once the bar and dance floor below the restaurant starts filling up and the live DJ takes stage.

The Wolseley is an iconic Art Deco London establishment you can always count on for a fantastic meal. The cafe-restaurant is known for its impeccable service, but the fresh seafood dishes and extensive dessert menu don’t hurt either. Gleaming marble floors and towering Venetian pillars welcome you to a classic spot that won’t be losing popularity anytime soon.
