Stray Kids

Stray Kids, commonly referred to as SKZ, is perfect for the boy group fans who love high energy tracks and want a unique voice in the industry. The group is currently composed of eight members and is gaining immense popularity online. This band stands out to me as special because it has a different sound and the music always makes me want to get up and move.

The members of Stray Kids are also incredible performers, with strong tracks and exciting choreography. Some songs I recommend are “God’s Menu,” “MIROH,” “Back Door,” and “TOP (Tower of God OP).”
Dreamcatcher

This is one of my favorite girl groups right now, and it is definitely underrated. Dreamcatcher consists of seven members and originally debuted with the name “MINX.” They have been recognized for their rock and metal influences in their music, which makes for a distinct and edgy sound.

Once you begin to listen to Dreamcatcher and see their performances, you’ll be instantly hooked! They have a strong presence and original concepts that are unlike what I’ve seen before. Here are some tracks you should give a listen to: “BOCA,” “Deja Vu,” “In the Frozen,” and one of their newer songs, “Odd Eye.”
SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN, also called SVT, is a boy group with 13 members and an amazing discography. The band is split into three sub-units that highlight each member’s skills: the hip-hop unit, the vocal unit, and the performance unit. They have tried various genres and have gained international fame.

Their fans, known as “Carats,” praise their genuine personalities and spectacular vocal abilities. They are also fantastic dancers. Some songs I recommend to check out are: “Fear,” “HIT,” “Light a Flame,” and “HOME;RUN.”
KARD

Looking for a co-ed group for once? KARD is a co-ed K-pop group with four members. Co-ed groups are seen as somewhat rare in the industry, but KARD has been recognized by publications like Forbes and Billboard as a quartet with high potential success.

The band has incorporated dancehall, EDM, moombahton, and more in their beats. They also have a massive international following, here are some KARD songs to listen to: “Bomb Bomb,” “Dumb Litty,” “RED MOON,” and “GUNSHOT.”
ATEEZ

Another popular group right now is ATEEZ! The band has eight members and officially debuted in 2018. ATEEZ has an edgy sound and often combines genres, including: trap, EDM, R&B, and more. Many fans consider the group to be underrated and say they don’t receive as much attention as they deserve.

I think ATEEZ has a pretty new and different take on K-pop music, they are often recognized for choreography or charm. These are some songs I recommend you start with: “WONDERLAND, “Answer,” “Wave,” and “Fireworks (I’m The One).”
These are some of the must-listen-to K-pop bands right now for any K-pop stan! Which song by one of these groups is your favorite? Happy listening!
