Quite possibly the most stunning church in Siberia: Kazanskaya Tserkov’.

Arguably the most beautiful religious establishment in Irkutsk, Siberia is quite possibly Kazanskaya Tserkov’ church. The salmon-pink exterior with turquoise onion domes is a spectacular standout in the working class suburb.
The name translates to the Church of Our Lady of Kazan, while the incredible architecture features gorgeous Byzantine elements: large domes, symmetrical central plans, and rounded arches.
Constructed in 1885, it is also home to Irkutsk’s largest church bell. Inside, there’s a plethora of fresco paintings, murals and portraits of icons and saints in the Orthodox Church.
