The entire journey to Puerto Vallarta was filled with the ultimate relaxation and excursions.
Everyday adventurists experience our world through an extensive range of interactions, from nature’s mystery to the liveliest machines. I traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and made contact with both of these contrasting interactions. I had the pleasure of swimming with dolphins and jet skiing along the immaculate coast.
Did you know that Bottlenose dolphins can frequently be found cruising on the bow of a boat, to catch a ride on the boat’s currents pushing forward? Boaters across the world regard this to be good luck. My friends and I certainly felt lucky when we got to swim with these dolphins. Upon arrival, we watched an instructional video providing us with background on the dolphins and unsung facts like the one above. The trainers revealed to us how they react positively to certain memorized hand gestures and positive feedback. The dolphin behavior they discussed was uncannily human and I saw this effected to its full extent when we splashed into the water with them. I grew up watching nature shows and could not help but feel whisked into one of those wildlife specials. First, the dolphins performed some flips and tricks for us and basked in the attention. Next, we took turns holding their fins and the dolphins kindly gave each of us a ride, and seemingly acknowledged that we were beginners. One even kissed me. Who knows, with the human mannerisms and charm these dolphins possessed, there might have been a prince trapped inside. Dolphins are some of the most intelligent players in nature’s network, and it was extremely cool to observe them and gain an increased appreciation of wildlife.
Once we swam with Puerto Vallarta wildlife, we transitioned to a new dimension of adventure and mounted jet skis. Many of us were first-timers; we rode in pairs and drove beside the coastline. We watched people parasail above us, raced other jet skiers to our right, and left water foaming behind us with the remnants of our speed. The weather was perfect and we were surrounded by an astonishingly beautiful view. Wildly skipping across waves, while shrieking with fear and excitement and having terrible freestyle rap battles, was one of my unsurpassed memories from the trip.
Overall, the entire journey to Puerto Vallarta was filled with the ultimate relaxation and excursions. Whether we joined the water with dolphins or jet skis, our maritime adventures were the foundation for an excellent vacation.
