If you saw Season 11 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, then you were probably coveting a stay at their St. Barts home away from home.
9 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and 1 jacuzzi/pool, La Banane is a 1950’s vintage chic boutique hotel transformed into a private luxury vacation rental merely two years ago. On days when it’s not hosting a traveling family’s staycation it’s the location for numerous high fashion shoots.

Many jetsetters love its privacy, which may very well be why the Kardashians selected this sophisticated haven. La Banane is located in the Lorient area, conveniently hidden behind giant palm trees, lush gardens and huge walls which, in turn, do not offer any ocean view nor immediate access to Lorient Beach, although it’s a short walk away.
For those who love to be a few steps away from sand and waves, the compromise of a private pool isn’t so much of a sacrifice since the pool has been renovated for the new season and is simply glorious.
St. Bart’s Lorient area is also where fans can find David Letterman’s former villa and home to the famous Autour du Rocher hotel which was burnt to the ground in 1991 and has been closed for 20 years.

More than 50 years ago, Parisian Jean-Marie Rivière – friend of Brigitte Bardot – fell in love with the estate and created his ideal hideaway for jetsetters back in Mad Men era. A Studio 54 of St. Bart’s of some sort. Later, Parisian businessman Jean-Marc Israel and his partner Benjamin Fabbri restored the property and embellished it in a style that honored La Banane’s glorious past.
