Calling all bookworms to Los Angeles! The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is coming back to USC next weekend from April 21st-22nd! With a stacked lineup of authors, performers, celebrities and writers from all walks of life, this year’s Festival of Books promises to be awesome and eye-opening for all ages. Who said people in L.A. don’t read?

For two exciting days, attendees will have access to panels, demonstrations, performances, conversations, art installations and multimedia experiences relating to today’s literary scene. This year’s Festival of Books will showcase unique forms of creative storytelling through podcasts, virtual reality, film, music and more.

You don’t have to be well-read to recognize many of the superstar authors and performers who will be there. Legendary contemporary writers including Joyce Carol Oates, Junot Diaz, Viet Thanh Nguyen and Laurie Halse Anderson will have live conversations and book readings all weekend with fans. There will be plenty of celebrities who you didn’t know were published authors, such as Gabrielle Union, Jenna Fisher, Vivica A. Fox, Patton Oswald and Mike Epps, participating in conversations on stage as well. Was anyone aware that even the Black Eyed Peas published a graphic novel?! Add in some music producers like Moby, celeb chefs Valerie Bertinelli and Wes Avila, along with dope activists like Janet Mock, and it’s no wonder that the L.A. Times Festival of Books is the largest, most exciting literary festival in the nation.

Tickets to conversations and passes to the festival are on sale now. Go to events.latimes.com/festivalofbooks/ for more information and don’t forget to get educated at the L.A. Times Festival of Books next week!
