Stuck Inside? Here’s An Actual Travel Bucket LIST

Even in quarantine, we can still make a bucket list with hopes and wishes for the future.

While it’s a difficult time around the globe, we still think it’s important to remember all the travels and adventures you’ve gone on in your life. Even in quarantine we can still make bucket lists with hopes and wishes for the future. Traveling allows so many firsts: learning a new language, understanding more about other cultures, and maybe even helping you find a small piece of yourself you never thought existed.

Bucket lists are a reminder that anything is possible in this lifetime. Limitless thinking and opportunities. Even on the tightest budget, I believe anyone can travel somewhere. Push yourself to go outside your comfort zone. When people tell me that they have never gone outside their state or country, I am always shocked. Humans have explored since the beginning of time. Even if it’s just exploring your own backyard or hometown, you can witness new places and make friends with new people. And who knows, they could be connections for life, whether in pen pal form or through online zoom calls.

I have also regarded bucket lists as terrifying at times, with things like “swimming with sharks” on my list. But they ultimately remind me to take risks and be scared. We cannot become comfortable with anything travel-related if we are not at one time or another uncomfortable. Bucket lists are great to look back on because our ideas of what adventure is are constantly changing as we grow. From old lists you’ve crossed off or made, you’ll see the paths you’ve taken and the incredible places and people you’ve met along the way. All of them have shaped who you are and where you’re going.
