An Airbnb that offers a luxurious and local experience.

While booking for a trip to Vienna this spring, I stumbled upon VIENNA’s No.1 – Beautiful Apartment in City Center on Airbnb. This was my first time using Airbnb Plus – a platform highlighting one-of-a-kind homes, beautifully designed and equipped with amenities similar to those offered at boutique hotels. These higher end accommodations come pre-approved by the company and must have 4.8 out of 5-star ratings.
VIENNA’S no. 1 – Beautiful Apartment in City Center has two bedrooms but 6 travelers can sleep inside. The space includes 1 renovated and modern bathroom and a separate toilet room, which is common in most European apartments. Host Vesna replies quickly, always with a welcoming and friendly tone.

The apartment itself is a sight for sore eyes, with an open kitchen that leads to a large outdoor terrace perfect for relaxing with many glasses of wine. The charmingly decorated living room is accented by a green velvet couch, accompanied by a coffee table with tons of local recommendations provided by Vesna. The living room is conveniently connected to the master bedroom adorned by a large tree and a massive heater to keep guests warm during harsh cold Viennese winters.
The key to an ideal Airbnb, in my opinion, is also location and neighborhood. In this case, the apartment is located close to the famous Hundertwasserhaus, and Schweizerhaus beer garden. Down the street is probably the city’s most alluring bakery Warenhandlung Wenighofer & Wanits – selling a beautiful array of coffees, locally made canvas bags, cheeses, wines, and vegan ice cream.

There’s nothing better than leaving an Airbnb at the end of the stay and realizing that it was so much better than staying at a 5-star hotel. VIENNA’S no. 1 – Beautiful Apartment in City Center became a luxurious and a local experience that I would go back to Vienna for, just to call it my home away from home once again.
