#JetsetBeauty: Define “Beautiful” As A Thai-American

To me, beauty is not just how people see you from the outside.

It is more than that. Real beauty comes from the inside. Once you think positively and never think negatively about others, people will always view you as beautiful no matter what you look like.

Beauty is actually difficult to define. Having lived in two different countries and travelled quite often, I have seen many women from different backgrounds. I have learned that I should not limit my thinking based on what I see in one country. There are women of different shapes and sizes, hair color, eye color, and skin color and they are all beautiful in their own way.

This question is difficult to answer as I think women from different countries are beautiful in their own ways. But, if I have to answer, I would say Dutch women (but that’s aside from Thai women, of course).

My beauty icons are definitely Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn

The essential items that I need to carry with me everywhere are eye liner, mascara, blush, and lipsticks.

Proud grew up in San Mateo, California then attended University of California, Berkeley. She’s a PR Specialist in hotel management and she currently lives in Bangkok, Thailand.
