New collection of travel bags on JST SHOP is the ultimate rustic cool!
Meet Bogdan, the designer behind Tram 21 – a company he started in Brussels, Belgium where he lives with his wife and daughter.
As a designer who is passionately committed to his rustic cool collection of bags, Bogdan wanted to ensure every item is made with care and refined quality. What we love about his travel bags is they’re each made with a global story. Bogdan traveled to Alcanena, Portugal, where he “heard was an area with a rich tannery tradition.” That’s where he met a family who’s been in the tanning business for five generations.
Not only are the bags made with the best Alcanenian tannery, Bodgan also visited UK where he works with a local factory on the bags’ waxed cotton. Since mid-19th century, the material has been used in the sailing industry because of it’s ultra waterproof trait. To obtain the look of what we like to call “rustic cool”, the material’s natural scratches and shades are gained over time. The UK factory that Bodgan works with is more than 100 years old…now that’s history!
From messengers, rucksacks to duffle bags, we LOVE this new collection of travel bags on Jetset Times SHOP. For every product that you purchase, we donate to an organization also based in Belgium – Designers Against AIDS – which brings awareness to HIV/AIDS issues.
As the founder of Jetset Times, Wendy is an avid traveler and fluent in five languages. When she's not traveling, Wendy calls Paris and Taipei home. Her favorite countries so far from her travels have been: Bhutan, Iran, and St. Bart's because they were all so different!
