Winter is totally coming.

Croatia is famously known for the setting of Game of Thrones, but when the show’s catch phase is “winter is coming,” Finland seems to be the appropriate place to truly experience Westeros.

Check out Lapland Hotels’ SnowVillage in the northern region of Kittilä. With a Snow Hotel which consists of snow rooms and suites, an Ice Restaurant, an Ice Bar and an Ice Chapel, the 20,000 square feet SnowVillage recreates your favorite show’s winter vibes with 45 million pounds of snow and more than 770,000 pounds of ice every year.

In collaboration with HBO Nordic, the website describes the experience as:

“This year, the entire hotel is Game Of Thrones themed – with rooms designed by sculptors from Russia, Poland, Latvia and Ukraine. You can find a life sized iron throne with swords, a scary Braavosi Hall of Faces and a white walker with glowing blue eyes. For weddings, couples can get married in an Ice Chapel with furnishings made of ice.”

Be sure to dress for serious winter weather since the entire compound remains at -2 to -5 Celsius degrees. You may not be heading to Antarctica, but it may feel like it if you’re coming from tropical temperatures back home.

Once you’re there, catch Braavos’ Hall of Faces, and an Iron Throne that you’ve seen in King’s Landing. Upon exploring, you may even stumble upon a White Walker.

The SnowVillage is open now until April 2018. If you’ve always wanted a GOT-themed wedding, the chapel can also be booked. There are guided tours for 65 € / 1-30 persons. Winter is not just coming, but clearly, it’s here already!
