So, what makes Kenya so special for foreign tourism? The full list would be too long, so here are a handful of reasons why Kenya should be your next holiday destination.

The Masai Mara National Reserve Safari

There are plenty of safaris on offer across the African continent and some of them are truly exceptional, once in a lifetime experiences. However, the Masai Mara National Reserve safari offers the most thrilling safari experience possible, given that the game reserve is more diversely populated with wildlife than any other place on the continent.

If you ever wanted to see the most exotic African wildlife in all their natural glory, Masai Mara National Reserve is the place where you will find The Big Five. There are African elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, cape buffalos, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, wildebeests, and even the rare black rhinoceros to see in Masai Mara. The 1,510 km2 nature reserve is not just the largest in Kenya, but it’s the largest in all of Africa as well.

The Nightlife in Nairobi

Nightlife is not the first thing that comes to mind when someone thinks about planning a trip to Kenya, but that’s just because most people don’t realise what a unique nightlife the capital has to offer. After the sun goes down, you will find several nightclubs, lounges, and pubs at every hotspot in Nairobi. Take a night’s break from the adventures when you are in Nairobi and check out the Nairobian nightlife at The Alchemist Bar or the 40Forty Lounge in Westlands.

Quick and Easy E-Visa

Kenya has one of the easiest and friendliest e-Visa application process for international guests. You can apply for your traveller’s visa online and get approved for it within a surprisingly short time. The best part is that you won’t even need to deal with the Kenyan embassy to get your visa request approved. However, the conveniences of an e-visa will vary depending on the applicant’s nationality. The World’s Largest Desert Lake is a Sight to Behold

The term desert lake sounds oxymoronic, but there are quite a few of them in deserts across the world. However, none of them are as impressive or as large as Lake Turkana. The world’s 4th largest saltwater lake is almost an unbelievable sight for people who lay their eyes on it for the first time. A beautiful lake of jade green water in the middle of Kenya’s harshest desert land is truly an amazing wonder, but that’s not all the Jade Sea has to offer.

Geographically, it’s one of the oldest surviving remnants of old earth and quite possibly the birthplace of human life itself. It’s a place rich with wildlife as well, allowing for some of the most unique safaris in Kenya. Make your way to the Central Island National Park located in the middle of the lake, and you will get to see the world’s largest population of the ancient Nile crocodile.

These are just a few of the several reasons why Kenya should be on the bucket list of every traveller on earth. In fact, it’s more than likely that you will come back home with more reasons of your own to revisit Kenya again someday.
