Join me as I see the world in a new light through these 5 globetrotting YouTubers.

The YouTube rabbit hole falls a long way down and I have shamelessly spent most of my quarantine indulging in it. It is the perfect escape from outside of my own home and the chaos of this pandemic. Here are some of the best YouTubers that show us the world.

Damon and Jo

Damon and Jo are the definition of best friend goals. The dynamic duo has been filming travel vlogs together for more than seven years. They film their videos in more than five languages and also run their own travel company called, Shut Up and Go! One of my favorite series on their channel is “20 vs 20” : a challenge where they can only spend 20 euros or dollars in their respective cities. The winner is the one who spends it best (usually it’s Jo). Even when they are living in separate cities, this duo still films funny and useful content for young, curious, and broke travelers. Their channel also helps with language skills since a lot of their videos are in French, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish. Damon and Jo’s overall mission is to explore hidden gems and spread their contagious positive energy all around the world.

Misako Envela

Highlighted Video: Indépendante | Paris Diary

Misako’s travel diaries are sweet snippets of her time in new places. Her solo Paris diary, Indépendante, is an artistic and meditative montage showing the city in a new light. Her shots of the city remind me of when you first arrive in a new place, leave the airport, and then look out of the window for the first time. Misako’s channel also offers a variety of inspirational talks on how to be the best version of oneself. She is who I strive to be when I want to fuel my creativity while documenting a new trip.

Elena Taber

Highlighted Video: My First Time In Japan

Elena’s travel vlogs provide a glimpse of all of the best sights to see. From Qatar to Berlin, this girl knows what’s up! I particularly love her Oman travel vlog because it shows a country that I have always been curious about especially because of its natural beauty. One of her videos shows Oman’s vast desert canyons as well as delicious Omani cuisine. Alongside travel vlogs, Elena also films self care routines and fashion inspiration. If you are curious about where to thrift in other countries, her YouTube channel is the right place to go.

Hitomi Mochizuki

Highlighted Video: Solo Backpacking Through Peru | peace & healing

Hitomi is one of my favorite hippy yogi YouTubers. Her vlogs document her ongoing spiritual journey around the world. Learn about Hitomi’s free-spirited adventures in Hawaii, Peru, and Bali, while working on your inner peace. Her solo adventure in Peru is an inspiration to all female travelers as she discusses how to overcome fear and loneliness when traveling alone. In all of her travel videos, Hitomi never forgets to sneak in her daily yoga routines, vegan cooking, and intimate chats, making her a one of a kind YouTuber.
