The Fresh Prince of Bel Air reboot stars Jabari Banks as street savvy West Philadelphian Will Smith. The series also stars Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks or “Uncle Phil,” Cassandra Freeman as artist Vivian Banks or “Aunt Viv,” Coco Jones as content creative chef Hilary Banks, Olly Sholotan as resident overachiever Carlton Banks, Akira Akbar as junior activist and gamer Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola as the Banks’ house manager Geoffrey, Simone Joy Jones as athlete and friend of the Banks’ family Lisa, and Jordan L. Jones as record-store-owner-slash-Will’s-LA-tour-guide Jazz.
After a dangerous encounter on a basketball court, West Philly native Will Smith is shipped off to live with his wealthy relatives in Los Angeles, specifically Bel-Air, until further notice.

In the first episode, we meet a thriving Will Smith living in the place he calls home, West Philadelphia. Audiences get a peek into how he would normally go through his day. From waking up in the morning and having breakfast with his mom Viola ‘Vy’ (played by April Parker Jones), school, basketball games and even just hanging out with his best friend Tray (played by Stevonte Hart). There weren’t specific places listed but there are many historical sites to be seen in Philadelphia, such as The Liberty Bell, monuments from the American Revolution and there are tours available to see them all.

Universal Studios Hollywood
The City of Angels welcomed Will with mostly open arms once he arrived at the Banks home in Bel Air. Besides the major shots of Los Angeles, some scenes were presumably done at Universal Studios Hollywood. Located at 100 Universal City Plaza, this theme-park-studio hybrid offers countless rides and attractions to get your blood pumping. The studio tour allows guests to look behind the curtain of their favorite movies.
