Inside Upland NYC: Where The Obamas Lunched With Bono

DAMN they look good!

DAMN they look good! On Jan 20, former U.S. President Barack Obama and Michelle showed up as stylish as A-list Hollywood celebs at New York City restaurant: Upland (345 Park Ave S, New York, NY 10010, USA.)

They met up with one legendary rocker, U2 frontman Bono at the Gramercy Park hotspot, where everyone cheered as the former First Couple showed up.

Inside Stephen Starr’s spacious brasserie, Bono and the Obamas sat in a private dining room downstairs. This wasn’t the first time Barack and Michelle ate at Upland. In 2015, their girls: Malia and Sasha, joined for brunch. Sources say the former President adores the USD $21 California-style cheeseburger there, which features two beef patties covered in melted cheese with lettuce, avocado, tomato and peppadew peppers. This mouthwatering favorite is only available on the brunch and lunch menus.

Dinner service last night with Bill Clinton!

Merely six months ago, former President Bill Clinton – also an Upland fan- paid a visit to the chic Manhattan restaurant.

This wasn’t the first time Bono has eaten with the Obamas either. In 2011, the musician/activist was invited to the White House for a lunch in the former President’s private dining room next to the Oval Office. Joining them was Alicia Keys. Two years later during the G8 summit in Ireland, Bono invited the Obamas for lunch at a pub in Dalkey, where the singer lives.
