Where Did Katie Holmes & Jamie Foxx Hang Out In Paris?

E! Online

Hint: Katie likes Hemingway!

Extremely low-key couple, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been spotted in Paris during early May. While visiting Foxx – who is filming the remake of Robin Hood in the City of Light – Holmes hit up some of her favorite Parisian spots. Here’s how you can follow her footsteps the next time you find yourself in the capital of France.

San Francisco Book Company

17 Rue Monsieur le Prince, 75006 Paris (map, website)

The secondhand English bookstore in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area is known to carry rare books. According to Us Weekly, the mother of Suri asked the chauffeur to stop at this bookstore where she picked up novels written by Ernest Hemingway, including: A Moveable Feast, The Old Man and the Sea and A Farewell to Arms. This area flourished during the 1940s and 1950s as centre of the existentialist movement. Think: Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir).

Park Hyatt Vendome

5 Rue de la Paix, 75002 Paris (map, website)

Situated in the glitziest area in Paris, Park Hyatt Vendome is where Holmes and Foxx stayed in Paris. For USD $3,500/night, the couple enjoyed a 1,300-square-foot Ambassador Suite. Also situated near Palais Garnier, the hotel is only steps away from a lovely night of classical music. And a few blocks away from Bar Hemingway inside the Ritz hotel.

La Cité du Cinéma

20 Rue Ampère, 93200 Saint-Denis, France (map, website)

During Holmes’ four-day stay, she also visited Foxx at La Cité du Cinéma where filming occurred. Inaugurated in 2012, the relatively new studio is where movies including: Taken 2, Taken 3 and Jackie were filmed. In 2013, the venue hosted an event for Bill Clinton’s “30 years of the discovery of AIDS.”
