Ozark, the Netflix original drama series, stars Jason Bateman as patriarch-slash-money-launderer Marty Byrde. The returning players of the highly anticipated show, in its final season, also stars Laura Linney as “good-girl-gone-bad” matriarch Wendy Byrde, Skylar Gaertnar as Jonah Byrde, Sofia Hublitz as Charlotte Byrde, Julia Garner as Ruth Langmore, Felix Solis as cartel leader Omar Navarro, Jessica Frances Dukes as special agent Maya Miller, and introducing Alfonso Herrera as Omar’s nephew Javi Elizonndro.

The original preface of the show is that Marty relocated his family from the bustling city of Chicago to a summer town in the Ozark community to keep his family safe due to his money laundering career biting him back. Now with an unhappy cartel leader and an overwhelming amount of debt racked up, the family tries to navigate their way through this.

GEORGIA

The majority of filming for Ozark was done in and around Atlanta, Georgia.

America’s Best Value Inn 

Located off of Interstate 20, this motel marks the series’ full-circle moment. Not only is this featured in the final season but was introduced in episode two of Ozark’s first season as “The Lazy O Motel.” Visitors can find local entertainment and shopping on Main Street. Every room has access to high-speed WiFi, cable television, microwave, hair dryer and even have services such as a business center and laundry.

Lakewood 400 Antiques Market 

Located at 1321 Atlanta Hwy in Cumming is the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market, featured in episode two of Ozark. Around the country, artisans and dealers come to this over 75,000 square feet warehouse to both sell and buy great antiques and creations. This is a great family activity because of the endless discoveries and finds, along with an on-location restaurant to be used as a lunch spot.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

Located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue is Atlanta’s crown jewel. Nearby Piedmont Park, where Charlotte (played by Sofia Hublitz) broke the news to Erin about Helen. The Atlanta Botanical Garden offers classes and education to inspire enthusiasts of all ages. They hold private events, such as weddings or corporate gatherings. Most importantly, they hold the most spectacular exhibitions, such as the Orchid Daze, presenting winter’s most revered flower exhibit.

St. Cecilia’s Italian Restaurant 

This ingredient-forward restaurant was used as a diner in this season’s Ozark. The menu is inspired by coastal Europe, with dishes inspired by countries such as France and Spain. The restaurant is located at 3455 Peachtree Road and currently has a special dinner offer in place in honor of Valentine’s Day. They even cater towards gluten-intolerant patrons and visitors.

Northside Tavern 

Located at 1058 Howell Mill Road, this grungy Blues bar was where Darlene catches up with Frank Jr to talk business in Ozark. Voted as one of the top ten dive bars in America, they host weeknight musical performances and a Wall of Fame honoring the artists that have passed through. Their musical guests for the week can be found on their Facebook page.

Gwinnett Place Mall 

Audiences may recognize this mall in Ozark’s episode seven from another Netflix original series, “Stranger Things.” According to Curbed.com, a portion of the mall was remodeled for the Stranger Things production designer Chris Trujillo to give it that 80s vintage essence that was the Starcourt Mall. This dead mall is located in Duluth.
