It’s official, David Beckham will be bringing a new team to Major League Soccer in Miami, FL in 2020.

During an event, the former professional footballer said:

“There were times we sat back and said ‘This is not going to happen. It’s too difficult. There are too many bumps in the road.’ But I don’t give up…I think Miami needs a star. You have to realize the audience we have and Miami would expect us to bring in a star. That’s what we plan on doing.”

Beckham also said that his family won’t fully move to Florida with him, but it seems they’ve already been basking in the Miami sun. Although the hotel they were staying at wasn’t revealed, here’s where else they’ve been spotted:

Paparazzi also caught Beckham leaving Rockwell Club at 5 a.m. The high-energy dance & night club featuring DJs, theme nights & VIP table reservations is a favorite among other celebs including: Lenny Kravitz and 50 Cent.

In a video message congratulating her husband, Victoria Beckham expressed that she can’t wait to spend more time in Miami as a family.
