All The Filming Locations Of Netflix’s “The Ultimatum”: Marry or Move On

Another day, another Netflix release of a reality dating show… buckle up because this is a bumpy ride in The Ultimatum!

The newest, in a long line of Netflix reality TV dating shows, is The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. The show is hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. The premise of the show is for all six couples to decide whether they should get married or break up through a social experiment where they switch original partners for three weeks, in what the show calls a “trial marriage.” After that time period ends, they are to return to their original partner and live together after being apart. This produces some of the most chaotic reconnections and revelations that audiences will certainly have a lot to talk about.

The six couples that have issued an “ultimatum,” are as follows: April Marie and Jake Cunningham, Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger, Rae Williams and Zay Wilson, Shanique Imari and Randall Griffin, Alexis Maloney and Hunter Parr, and lastly, Lauren Pounds and Nathan Ruggles.

SETTING UP THE SPOILERS… 

The entire season of The Ultimatum was set in Austin, Texas.

AUSTIN MARRIOTT DOWNTOWN and THE LOBBYIST BAR AND LOUNGE

We first meet and get to know our couples at the Austin Marriott Downtown, where they are greeted by their hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey. The hotel has a meeting space, outdoor pool, gift shop, fitness center and offers a few different restaurant options, such as The Lobbyist. This bar and lounge is where a lot of the group’s gatherings were held.

ZANZIBAR ROOFTOP BAR

Another location where the cast mingled was poolside at the Zanzibar Rooftop Bar. The first initial week of being on the show the cast were allowed to “play single” and see if they could make any connections other than their original partners, some of which did not. This rooftop overlooks beautiful downtown Austin and has a lush jungle feel that makes you feel as if you are on vacation.

THE OASIS ON LAKE TRAVIS

Overlooking Lake Travis is the largest outdoor deck in all of Austin is The Oasis. Audiences caught up with the new couple, Jake and Rae, on a date at sunset. Romantic, isn’t it? It was for this couple who shared an on-camera kiss! The deck, located at 6550 Comanche Trail, hosts a variety of private events, such as weddings, musical performances, and dining experiences.

PATRIZI’S AT VORTEX

One of the many restaurants where The Ultimatum cast would catch up with loved ones or even go on a date is Patrizi’s. This restaurant has two locations, but the one featured on the show was located near the Vortex Theater. It prides itself on two things: 1) Having the most authentic Italian cuisine in Austin’s food scene and 2) the atmosphere for the friendliest Austin locals.

ALOFT AUSTIN DOWNTOWN and CAROLINE RESTAURANT

Located in the 6th Street Entertainment Districts of Austin, the cast of The Ultimatum began their trial marriages at Aloft Austin Downtown. Through all the turbulent arguments that would leak the drama outside of their suites, it’s a wonder how no neighbors came outside to complain. Funny enough, the Caroline Restaurant is located inside this hotel and was featured in the show, a perfect spot to cool off from the spicy altercations. Plus, pets are allowed in the restaurant! Viewers can tell that the production team had a few personal touches added to make the suites feel more like apartments for the new and original couples.
