Dubrovnik, Croatia

Its medieval architecture, imposing fortresses, beautiful beaches, mountain viewpoints, and historic harbours made Dubrovnik a perfect fit for the wild and adventurous tone of Outer Banks.
The motorcycle chase and other scenes were filmed in the city’s UNESCO-protected Old Town, whose medieval appearance was used to portray different settings with little need for major modifications. Stradun, the city’s main promenade, is instantly recognizable thanks to its distinctive limestone pavement and historic façades. Meanwhile, the Dubrovnik City Walls provided the setting for one of the most striking sequences, in which one of the characters jumps from the top of the walls into the Adriatic Sea.
Cavtat, Croatia

Its relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere is defined by its characteristic turquoise waters, stone houses, and palm-lined waterfront. Unlike Dubrovnik’s imposing medieval walls, Cavtat offers a quieter and more intimate setting, becoming another memorable backdrop for the Pogues’ latest adventure.
Lokrum Island, Croatia

During the high season, a small ferry arrives at its harbour every thirty minutes, although spending the night on the island is impossible due to the complete absence of hotels or other accommodation. Covered in dense Mediterranean vegetation, Lokrum is a natural fit for the adventurous spirit of the series, with its rocky coastline, hidden paths, and ancient ruins. Among its most distinctive features are the remains of a Benedictine monastery, the historic Fort Royal, and its secluded coves.
