All The Filming Locations in Netflix’s “The Four Seasons”

A journey through the seasons and settings of The Four Seasons.

The Four Seasons is Netflix’s new series, a refreshing and heartwarming story which follows a group of longtime college friends made up of three couples who met during their university years. Decades later, the friends have managed to maintain their long-standing friendship through trips they’ve taken together, strengthening their powerful bond. The series begins when they all reunite at a charming lake cabin, a dreamy setting where conflicts seem out of place.

Tension, however, starts to disrupt this spiritual retreat when Nick – played by Steve Carell – reveals to his friends that he wants to divorce his wife. This provokes a rift in the group, bringing latent conflicts to the surface. Little by little, across four seasons and four completely different settings, we’ll see how the friends face and adapt to the new dynamics. New York and Puerto Rico are the two main locations where the story unfolds – stay tuned if you want to know all the details about the filming locations!

The first two episodes take place in a cozy lakeside house, where Nick and his wife Anne host their friends to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. We see them enjoying outdoor activities like morning fishing sessions, filmed on properties in Cold Spring, Fishkill, and Newburgh. But what was supposed to be a romantic and fun weekend in the upstate area of New York’s Hudson Valley ends up taking an unexpected turn. With the sudden breakup of the couple due to emotional distance, it becomes clear that the future of this special group will look very different.

With the change of season comes the desire for beach and sand, so the friends head to a more tropical destination, choosing Palomino Island in Puerto Rico. Turquoise transparent waters and pristine white sand are all the eye can see at this stunning private resort, which promises tranquility and comfort. The group, however, makes the mistake of booking a New Age eco-resort, ending up sleeping in tents without air conditioning and surrounded by baby croc odiles. In this idyllic setting, marital crises begin to plague all the couples, allowing us to witness the complexities of romantic relationships.

When a tornado tears through the tent area where the friends were staying, they are forced to quickly find a new place to stay. Desperate, the group ends up fleeing to the nearest resort, El Coronado, where Danny and Claude had previously snuck in to enjoy the pool. Luckily for them, Anne was already staying there, trying to unwind after her painful and recent divorce, so they all decide to take shelter in her room until the storm passes.

Although the building is called El Coronado in The Four Seasons, its real name is El Conquistador Resort, a well-known getaway on the island in search of a luxury vacation. Along with breathtaking views and private access to Palomino Island, guests can enjoy a wide range of top-quality dining options.

The Four Seasons takes on autumn colors when the characters visit the university where two of the daughters are studying together – the same institution their parents once attended. This episode, filmed at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, reveals several family tensions when Anne and Nick’s daughter, a playwright, dedicates her new play to criticizing her family situation. Kate and Jack, meanwhile, revisit the past as they walk through the streets of Beacon, New York, where they first met and fell in love decades ago.

With free beginner lessons, Mount Peter, located in Orange County, has already won the hearts of many local families.
