All The Filming Locations For “Doctor Strange 2”

It’s truly Madness how they incorporated “Thriller” into the Multiverse.

The Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange and Benedict Wong as Wong. The film also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.

Dipping our toes into the plot (without spoilers), this film is about Doctor Strange and Wong discovering that someone is after America’s power, which has to do with the multiverse. In turn, they must protect her at all costs, which proves to be more difficult than they could’ve imagined.

STEPPING INTO SPOILERS NOW…

The production team added filming stops in New York, Vancouver, Canada, Italy and Iceland, but the majority of filming was completed in London.

BURROW HILL CIDER FARM

Here, Doctor Strange catches up with Wanda on this cozy farm. Located in Somerset, Burrow Hill Cider Farm is a 180-acre farm that has been making cider for over two centuries. They received their distilling license in 1989 to produce “Somerset Cider Brandy.” They bottle the brandy varying up to 20 years.

FREEMASONS’ HALL

Doctor Strange attended an Illuminati meeting, with some familiar faces at this hall. Freemasons’ Hall was constructed to be one of the finest Art Deco buildings in London. This building stands as a WWI memorial for the soldiers who fought.

LONGCROSS FILM STUDIOS

Many of the visual effects took place at Longcross Film Studios, which probably aided in creating “Zombie Strange.” This is a fairly new studio, having been opened in January 2006. It has 200-acres of backlot, 4 main soundstages, plenty of office space and various workshops with square footage up to 13,000. There is also a Manor House on the property that is over 150 years old.

NORWAY

Norway is already known in the MCU as an Asgardian country, but in reality, it was a featured location choice production made. Where else could they have gotten those aerial shots for the multiverse scenes? Plus, it’s not the first time Marvel used Norway’s beautiful fjords as backdrops.
