Traveling with my boyfriend is my favorite hobby. I know, so cheesy right? But it really is. I’m too paranoid to travel alone (thanks to Liam Neeson and the Taken trilogy) and whenever I travel with my girlfriends, things tend to get crazy. Studies have shown that couples who travel together, are generally more happy. So get your partner and get some tickets. Here’s why traveling with your partner is a good idea.

When I’m with my boyfriend, I not only have my best friend and the love of my life, but I also have a bodyguard, and designated photographer for Instagram/Facebook posts. But really, what’s more perfect than watching the sunset in a foreign land in the arms of an exceptionally attractive man? Literally nothing.

1. You’ll overcome emergencies.

Whether it’s delayed flights or lost luggage, shit happens when you travel. Whatever crisis it may be, you’re much more likely to overcome it together. I’m not going to lie, I don’t always handle crisis situations as elegantly as I’d like, but thankfully my boyfriend is able to stay calm and collected during stressful times.

2. You’ll really learn about each other.

When you travel with your partner, their interests are put on display. Maybe you’ll spend your trip exploring museums, or seeking adventure or even hungover from club hopping. However your partner chooses to spend their time will tell you a lot.

3. You’ll make memories.

Memories of traveling together will shape your relationship. It’ll also urge you to travel more often. Plus you’ll come with hundreds of insta-worthy material and throwbacks to last a lifetime.

4. Your relationship will improve.

Traveling will add so much excitement to your relationship. Doing new things together releases endorphins. As Elle Woods said, “Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t kill their husbands. They just don’t.
